Stippled blossoms for a best friend

hi all and happy Sunday...

well am a bit late with my Sunday snippets as have been glued to the television and all things Olympic - but did want to get this card finished as its for a special friend and shall be seeing her next week - will be planning her big '0' birthday.. so something nice to look forward to.

I chose the lovely 2 step,  Stippled Blossoms Stamp set for the basis of my card - made all the more easier as it was still out on my grid pad,  after last week's thank you card!

This time I stepped it up a little, though, with my first attempt at an easel card - I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the scallop square framelit for my card base and some toning DSP, for the topper, finished off with a lovely floppy seam binding bow and a tiny rhinestone for glitz.!

I fussy cut 3 repeats of the large flower and to keep the colour matched I used Cherry Cobbler for all my stamping. I stamped off the first lot to lighten the image then followed up with the detailed stamp using my Stamp-a-Majig, to line everything up.

For my sentiment I inked up part of the 'A friend'... stamp from the 'Feel Goods' stamp set, with my Write marker, punched it with my small oval punch, sponging the edges, popped it up on dimensionals, and matted this onto a scalloped oval to tie in with the basic shape of the card.

....and the card stand - another of the stamps from the 'Feel goods' stamp set, punched using that very large 2 and 1/2"  punch, with a bit of wiggle factor it just about fits.. again sponging the edges to soften them a little.

...and with a left over scrap of some retired DSP - well, I was able to make a matching envelope to finish it all off.!
