Happy birthday - concertina style

happy Sunday everyone,

am feeling a little bit happier today as actually managed to venture out into the wilderness which is the back garden, and actually cut the  grass. To say it was almost up to my knees is no exaggeration.!

So to reward myself - I took time out to finish something for my sister's birthday. (With she and my dad's just 6 days apart, its a busy week!)

so here it is: (I love the Venetian Romance set of Designer Series Paper and have been through quite a few of this particular sheet in the set.!)

envelope punch board
made with the,  oh so useful, could not be without it - Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch board, and decorated with one of the labels from the Label Love stamp set and  some lovely ribbon.

and inside ?
label love
one of the concertina style cards made with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch,  that are very popular at the moment.

I repeated a copy of the same label on the front and tied it with some more of the ribbon.I love the colour scheme of the Pistachio Pudding, and Very Vanilla, coupled with the bright fizz of Tangerine Tango.. it really zings..

Thanks so much to both Julie Kettlewell  for the tutorial on how to make them, and Amanda Bates for the inspiration and the beautiful cards she has made, which I have unashamedly Cased.. .

I just love how these look. Definitely the wow factor in my book -  but  what ever would we do without 'Petite Petals am wondering!  Why you ask.. ?

well when you open it, Voila -  concertina central meets flowers and flags!" (aka 'Banner blast!)

happy birthday

am so so pleased with it. I think the Morning Post Alphabet just sets it all off.. Grab it now though - as its on the retirement list. boo hoo.!

Re: those absolutely adorable Petite Petals (there is at least 30+ on it!) and lots of the little banners from Banner blast (SAB 2014) stamp set, some fussy cutting of 'Happy' from the See Ya Later SAB 2014 stamp set,  all finished off with lots of glitzy rhinestones..

am afraid the sentiment I chose to use at the end of the card is long since retired, but as it is such a firm favourite, have not yet parted company with it  - but any suitable one would do of course.

I love how this turned out - thanks again ladies,  and hope my sister does too.

and a few close-ups to finish ..
happy birthday
