well it really has been absolutely ages since I posted any updates here - though I have not been idle - I have been busy with ink pads and papers, just a little ashamed to say have not kept up with the blogging side of things, but then am also now the proud owner of an updated PC so getting to grips with that has also been a bit of a challenge in the meantime!
but as I have 2 lovely little 'greats' as in nieces - for whom I am always doing some small 'makes'..Easter was no exception -
This time I made some little bird houses for their Cadbury Chocolate chicks, using lots of pieces of Stampin' Up! yellow papers - and yes, Stampin' Up! do have quite a lot of different ones!
Apart from the die I used to cut the actual door/window aperture all other elements and embellishments are courtesy of Stampin' Up! Have to admit though, not everything is current range, so yes, they may be retired but still good in my book.
Now.. despite my thinking those little chicks looked vaguely scary, once I had them resident in their little houses, I understand they did not last long.. so this obviously didn't trouble the recipients too much..
Infact my little 'greats' were delighted with them, which made it all the nicer for me .
what do you all think ?
and re: the finished goods - I just added a touch of whimsy with those punch art chickies I found on Pinterest before I handed them over.
...and here is my adult version made for my oldest school friend - she and I have always 'done Easter' ever since we went to senior school so in keeping with tradition - and as we both celebrated our big '0' birthdays last year, that's a lot of Easters.. so, yes, one for her too! including a matching card.
Seriously though - do hope everyone had a lovely Easter break and hope to be back at the weekend with the next instalment of Sunday snippets round at my little crafting quarter.!
til next time
very best wishes all
