WANT TO GRAB A BARGAIN

yes its that time of year again.. When Stampin' Up! retire a lot of their product lines to make way for lots of lovely new ones!

So whereas they retire products from the 2014–2015 annual catalogue, and am sad to see some of my favourites on the goodbye list -  the nice thing is -  we  get a chance to buy them, some discounted  up to 50% off. 

Retiring products will only be available until 2 June, or while supplies last,  so yes get them before they’re gone!

On a sad note - . for anyone who is a fan of all things Digital stamping -  the My Digital Studio (MDS) product line is now being discontinued and as a result Stampin' Up! are offering these at a very welcome 30% discount..

And speaking of retiring - alas no,  not me, but rather more my somewhat large collection of things Stampin' Up!   I am still on the 'trying to use it all up'  stint.

So when it came to making a card and gift for my sewing teacher's birthday this week - as well as some products about to be retired,  I dug out the last scrapages (am sure that is a word!) of some long ago retired Sweet Stitches  and Gingham Garden Designer series papers, (although still available as an MDS download file at the moment) some assorted Buttons Embossolits,   the very soon to be retired Cycle Celebration Stamp set and made use of my copy of MDS to generate the gift card insert and stylized 'stamped' images.

 and this what I ended up with: Daffodil delight as my main colour theme! a bit of bling, some toning seam binding (though it's going as well.. boo hoo..!) the odd candy dot - and yet more scrapages of bits of toning card stock and here it is..

one of those very popular Scallop Tag punch cards..complete with matching envelope!

 

The bannered sentiment and the 'cake'  you can just see peeping in the middle of the card were from a Stamp set earnt as part of this  year's recent Sale-a-Bration event - but  any suitable one would do

and then there's my oh 'sew suite' gift card holder  to go with - fashioned with the help of MDS.

 and if you were wondering what was  inside - ?

a  'voucher' for an entry ticket to the Alexander McQueen exhibition currently on at the V&A museum. - Can't wait!
