hostess with the mostest - Fabulous Flora

hello all

I know its been so long but being an absolute sports nut - well I shall re-phrase that - I just love the Olympic Games - has meant I have not even pucked up duster for the last couple of weeks and only just now catching up on life after Rio!

Golly,  didn't Team GB do so,  so well! I loved every minute of it.

but... here I am now,  slowly easing myself back into inking up the odd stamp or two and my timing as such meant am just sneaking in at the last minute to join in with the lovely Kylie Berteucchi's International Stampin' Up!® Blog Highlight - where the theme this time round is Random Act of Kindness, Encouragement.

I knew exactly the sentiment I wanted to use for my card and thinking along the 'encouragement' line I used the 'You Grow Girl! sentiment  from the 'Greatest Greetings' stamp set..

and I coupled this with one of the lovely images from the Fabulous Flora Hostess stamp set  -  just one of the special Hostess only sets available with earnt stampin' rewards.  Three copies of the same image, and some toning colours in Flirty Flamingo, Watermelon Wonder and Calypso Coral, touches of green and brown and herewith  my colour palette!

and I indulged in a bit of watercolouring.. Using the world famous  'squishing' technique - very technical term that - to squeeze the stamp pad to transfer ink to the inside of the lid, for use when you need to paint/draw or similar...!

Hostess Fabulous Flora

A really quick card, but said exactly what I meant .. and its about to wing its way to a friend who is having a bit of a tough time of it at work at the moment..! so hope it gives her a bit of a lift!
