Happy father's day my super hero!

well a couple of weeks ago I was here,  showcasing my dad's 80th birthday card and am now back again as of course today is Father's Day.

Now I don't have much in the way of 'men worthy material' in my collection of stamp sets but do have the very versatile 'Guy Greetings'   and with it's definite male related sentiments and stamp designs it is the one I reach for on occasions such as this! .. and as the current challenge over at Casology is 'Masculine' have linked it up there as well.

Although there are lots of classic images in this set I based my card around the pair of shoes! - makes me think of  the 50's style films  when men always wore hats, double breasted suits and two tone shoes!

I chose Dapper Denim (one of the new In-colours for 2016 - 2018 ) as my colour way - very apt as I think those shoes are very dapper!  and just stamped a row of 5 of them on the top half of my card topper, with the  toning sentiment to go with, on the bottom half.

I split  the card with the additon of a piece of matching ribbon -  and matted this on top of a layer of the Dapper Denim with Whisper White as the overall card base.

...finished with a bit of sponging and as am never far from a bit of bling  - I thought Dad deserved some as well.!

and inside ? - again, paraphrasing here - this set is all things to all men - well it is in my book!  What could be more apt!
