Happy 2017 everyone

hello all

well it's almost time to say goodbye to 2016 and hello to 2017 so just wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks so much to all my lovely customers and colleagues who have supported my business in 2016.

it really is greatly appreciated. and although have not posted at all much in the last couple of months - have been wearing my other hat and have been welded to my sewing machine sewing up a storm to make a birth quilt for my latest great-niece - born at the beginning of December  - so had a bit of a rush on my hands to ensure it was finished for Christmas..  but it was... scroll down to see what I got up to.

but just had time to make a New Year card and just now posting this as the clock ticks away - what are we going to do though without Big Ben to 'chime us in' ?

hopefully they have thought of something suitable !

so here it is - my last card for 2016 and am going to link it up with Inkspirational Challenge #125 where they have a truly wonderful festive photo to help get us creating..

All glitter and gold and  stylish black, atop a base of shimmery white cardstock!..

so with that - and whatever you get up to this evening - either at home or visiting elsewhere,  hope everyone has a lovely time and safe travels afterwards  - and will close with my very best wishes for a great 2017 for everyone

til next time

Neutrals and glimmer - rock on for a special birthday..!

hi all

well, my lovely dad turned 80 last week and we celebrated with a 'bit of a do' on Saturday, taking over Bar Azita in Harpenden for the afternoon. My card for him was plain and simple,  but said it all, I think.

Despite the myriads of choice with all the new products in the just launched new catalogue I went back to Basics, or should I say 'Neutrals' with 'Basic grey' as my colour scheme just augmented with simple blocks of toning papers from the 'Neutrals' Designer Series Paper Stack, to go with.

I die-cut 'happy' from the 'Hello You' Thinlits set, replicated it 3 times, used a bit of silver glimmer paper for that all important '80' from the 'Large Numbers' Framelits and a stamped and popped up bannered sentiment from the matching 'Number of Years' stamp set and it was done.... and with the current challenge over at CAS on Sunday asking for a bit of sparkle, so I hope this may fit the bill..

Hello You thinlits

He really liked it - and he had a great day and was thoroughly spoilt, which after all is what birthdays are all about, in my book

Or if you wish me to place an order for you, or have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch

and the birthday boy himself, centre stage, and clearly enjoying himself I think - ( with my nephew and my great-niece tackling the fish platter, watched by my sister - aka his mum, also, all in the frame..).

happy 80th birthday

til next time - happy stampin'
