Pinkies Blop Hop - 2016 - 2017 Annual catalogue

Sale-a-bration

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!®  Annual Catalogue.  Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

If you have arrived here from the lovely Fiona's blog,  hello..

Today am showcasing a 'shaker' style card - now made so much easier with the newly introduced Foam Adhesive strips available in the new catalogue and need to say  thankyou to another lovely lady - Betty Pollard - for the step by step instructions..

...and it's real departure for me as I have opted for green as my colour of choice - and not just any green, but Emerald Envy - one of the 2016-2018 in colours. Just love this.. a real jewel of a colour and that's from someone who would not normally turn to green, as a first or any choice usually.  But.. teamed with Whisper White as my card base - I love how fresh it looks.

Shaker card

For the 'shaking' sprinkles I have a fair few of the 'Brights Sequin Assortment' - amazing value,  you get approximately  750 sequins in a pot.. Needless to say I didn't use quite that many!..

and a neat trick here,  again passed on - use your embossing buddy to brush the inside of your window sheet as this helps to cut down on static and stops the sequins sticking to the sheet. I also used a pipette which I kept sticking into the embossing buddy to pick up some of the chalk and just ran it round the inside of the foam strips again in an effort to stop the sequins sticking to the sides as you shake it..!

My 'dotty' background  was a fair few repetitions of the paint spatter stamp from the new Painter's Palette' set and you can just make out the 'Hello' in the middle of my card? - I used one of the stamps that come packaged with the 'Oh Happy Day' project kit,  using my Basic Black Stāzon Ink. I just stamped it a 2nd time, with the help of my Stamp-a-Majig, to slightly offset it,  to create a wider result...

and the sentiment at the bottom of the card ' Sending a smile your way' ?
This is from another of the New stamp sets, Love and Affection  and thought it teamed nicely with my  'Hello' and instead of my  customary bits of bling am usually so fond of - just punched a few of the tiny stars of card offcuts using  the Sprinkles punch - yes another new product...

and here it is all 'shook up' ..or  down as seems to be the case here  !

Well I hope this has raised a smile with you all too..

Painters Pallette 'on point' for a thank you.

Sale-a-bration

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!®  Annual Catalogue.  Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

If you have arrived here from the lovely Diana's  blog,  a really big hello and welcome.

One of the many perks of being a Stampin' Up!® demonstrator means you get to have a play with some lovely products before the Annual Catalogue goes live.

and playing I have... with Sweet Sugarplum, one of the 5 fabby new 'In-colours' for 2016 - 2018.
I teamed it with with Very Vanilla as my card topper and used touches of Basic Grey and Emerald Envy (another of this year's releases!) for my accent pieces and sentiment.

I used  the Artist's easel - one of the Stamps in the new Painter's Palette stamp set - but instead of using it for the picture effect as intended, I stamped 3 of them, opted to trim  and turn them  'on point'  for the quilters amongst you, - giving me what felt like an Art Deco, 1920's type effect with those stylised diamond shapes, once they were all mounted together.

What do you think?

The flowers are from the Love & Affection Stamp set and they are part of a co-ordinating  suite of products, everything from Stamps, and embossing folders to Designer series papers and toning card stock packs. I whiled away a little me time - fussy cutting them so I could pop them up.

My 'Thank you' is from another of the newly launched sets - 'Thankful Thoughts'. This is a great set of  5 pairs of sentiments in varying fonts, specially designed, so you can link the inside sentiment of the card with the focus one on the outside. Thank you Stampin' Up!®. for this.
.. but as ever, yours truly decided to use another stamp for the inside, (again from the 'Love & Affection' set) as I particularly liked the wording, and think it complements everything nicely..

The whole was then finished with my customary bit of bling and some sponging and the edges and it was ready. I love how it came together.

So a huge thank you for visiting and next stop is the lovely Michelle  - make sure you don't miss anything en route, as  there are lots of lovely things to see and all are sure to inspire as you hop around the complete tour.
