well like all holidays - don't they just fly past.!
Can't believe it is already Easter Sunday and for once am not working over a Bank holiday and I shall be celebrating that fact with my mum and my sister and along with a few chocolate treats!.
... and of course just needed to make an Easter card to mark the occasion.
I used Daffodil Delight as a base with Whisper White for the topper and opted to round a couple of the corners. A few repetitions of one of the stamps from Stampin Up's Flowering Flourishes stamp set for surface decoration to offset the label which I stamped in Basic Grey, then cut, sponged and matted for a bit of interest. Some hand colouring with my Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive markers and a blender pen, Candy dots plus toning ribbon to go with - and herewith one card.
(My sentiment is alas from a retired set - but chose to use it as think it fitted the overall sizing I was after).
...and of course making a matching envelope is so so easy with the brilliant Envelope Punch board and its such a fantastic way of using up all your DSP bit and pieces!
What do you think.?

Well as they are visiting me - I am on 'tea and scones' duty - 'teasies at threesies' as we always call it - but am thinking sitting outside to eat them is probably not an option, well today, at least!
...but hoping your day is filled with things of a chocolate variety - and speaking of chocolate have to admit ours will certainly include some of those well known bunnies in the gold wrapper, complete with red ribbon tie.
have a lovely Easter, everyone
Until next time.

Hope you had a fabulous Easter Jan. Your card is so pretty and springlike although I hadn't noticed the rabbit ears until you mentioned it! Love the idea of teasies at threesies and can see that catching on in our family too! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteDear Vicky -thanks so much as always -we did have a lovely Easter break, thank you.. despite taking tea 'this side of the glass' rather than outside! The little 'rabbit ears' made me do a double take as well and once I saw the first set, I keep seeing them..!
DeleteHope you had a lovely break as well. kind regards
