Stippled Blossoms thank you

hi all

well how is every one faring in this lovely bout of warm weather - will desist from mentioning the thunder and lighting storm a few nights ago - and with Mummie's recent lightning strike and the damage that caused, to say we were a little bit on edge was probably an understatement... though must admit the storm was one quite spectacular show!

but back to my card. I took the current CAS - Colours and sketches challenge #83

CAS challenge #83

as my inspiration for the choice of colours.. though I guess it maybe does not quite fit the guidelines re: creating a 'clean and simple' styled card,  with its wealth of fussy cutting!  but much to my partner's delight kept me quiet for some time whilst I perfected the art of careful snipping!

Like lots of us am sure, some stamp sets you just gravitate back to,  despite all the lovely new goodies just launched.. and this one hasn't had an outing in my crafting square for quite some time.  Seeing one of the fabulous  Design Team's  cards made me look it out again.
.and  here is the result.... a bit of practice in 2-step stamping with all the lovely stamps in the 'Stippled Blossom' stamp set.. and I just love the result.

Thank you

humm.. am sorry for my photography though - certainly cannot attest to any skill here! Why 'Perfect Plum'  looks anything but, I have yet to fathom!

but what do you think - sort of old fashioned tea time with doily meets rambling roses.!

I stamped 3 sets of the large flower, used my trusty Stamp-a-Majig to help  me place the darker details stamp exactly where I wanted it, cut them all out with my Stampin' Up! super snips and layered them up on the tea lace paper doily. I finished by interleaving a few of the smaller flowers and the larger leaves from the set, which I just tucked in, here and there.

thank you

My sentiment is from the brand new 'Something to Say' stamp set and I carried on the process of yet more layering using the punched ovals, popped up on dimensionals on the scallop ribbon border.

and for the inside? well... I just stamped a piece of white cardstock with very faint stamped off images, using the detailed stamp for the largest flower,  just to tie it all in together.

thank you

I did like how it all turned out in the end, despite my colour mal-function!

  2. This is a beautiful car Jan! I have a problem with photos and getting true colour sometimes...try setting your white balance manually if you can on your camera...I find it helps :)
