Those Floral Botanicals and a message of good luck

hi all

My work colleague is off - relocating to pastures North with her partner  - so thought to put framelits to card stock, paper trimmer to the fabulous Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper- mixed the whole with a bit of bling and came up with this.

Happy for you

Unusually,  almost no stampin' involved - rare for me,  but as the 'Bravo' stamp set was still to hand from a recent project - thought this sentiment from that set,  just fitted the bill.... and as the overall effect was inspired by the lovely paper pack I had used thought I would link it up with the Crafty Hazelnut's Pattened Paper challenge blog - where anything goes as long as it uses patterned paper.

ahah - And anything that helps me reduce my own ever growing mountain is certainly good in my book!

and with my majoring on definite floral elements here am also going to link it up with this week's challenge at Dragonfly Journals where the theme there is 'Flower Power'!

The colours I chose for my die-cut elements were inspired by the soft tones of the designer series paper and as Stampin' Up! is co-ordination with a Capital 'C' I knew everything would tone in perfectly. In fact the guesswork is all taken care of for you as  listed on the back of the paper pack are the colours you need to use to ensure you match the colours of the papers exactly - no need to work it our for your self! How good is that.!

The dimension you get when layering these particular dies is quite something - as you can see by the shadows here there is real depth to these.

which contributed to a sort of problem of its own - fitting this into an envelope of any size would probably squish (technical term!) it flat so came up with a box to store it instead.

This was easily made with the Score Board, some strips of Fast Fuse adhesive and a toning strip of the same paper for a belly band to keep it closed.  In keeping with the overall floral theme I just repeated a small flower spray,   and a couple of leaf fronds, reversing the colours this time, as a decorative fixture on the band itself.

et voila - one box!

Happy for you

and for a parting gift -  as I know they are are real cocktail connoisseurs thought they might like to spend time toasting their new surroundings!

- Here's to you both and my very best wishes for the move, and to everything that lies ahead.
